IHG revives long-running Holiday Inn Express campaign

InterContinental Hotels Group announced the revival of the well-known Holiday Inn Express tagline "But I Did Stay at a Holiday Inn Express Hotel Last Night" as part of a $20 million U.S. marketing campaign. The "Stay Smart" campaign debuted in 1998 and has been updated to embrace digital and social media. "The Stay Smart campaign was not only incredibly successful, but also remains beloved by consumers even today, which is why we are bringing it back," said Heather Balsley, senior vice president of the Americas Holiday Inn brand family.
