Longtime Pa. early childhood program may be documentary subject

The experiences of educators and the Pennsylvania students enrolled in the pioneering Pottstown Early Action for Kindergarten Readiness program may be the subject of a full-length documentary by Virginia filmmaker John Harrington, who wants to expand on a previous effort that was a shorter, award-winning video on the in-school pre-k program that started in 1989. PEAK, as the program is known, is run by the Pottstown School District through partnerships with local day care providers and nonprofit community agencies.
