Moonshot servers will cut power use by 89%, HP says

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the first of its Moonshot servers that it says will consume 89% less energy than previous models. The servers use Intel Atom chips, but Advanced Micro Devices, Applied Micro Circuits, Calxeda and Texas Instruments are expected to supply processors for future Moonshot models.
