Sales of specialty food increased 14.3% in 2012

The annual State of the Specialty Food Industry report from the Specialty Food Association shows a 14.3% sales increase last year, to $86 billion. Cheese and cheese alternatives formed the top-selling category, followed by yogurt and kefir, then chips, pretzels and snacks.
