SanDisk Chief Financial Officer Judy Bruner said extreme ultraviolet lithography technology won't be required until resistive random-access memories start replacing NAND flash memory devices in the latter half of this decade. "We'd like to use EUV at some point, but we don't think we need EUV for three-dimensional NAND or what we refer to as BiCS (bit cost scalable). So we view BiCS as a mid-term technology after we get through planar NAND," she said.
