U.S. hospital boards show less engagement in quality care

A study in Health Affairs revealed nearly one-third of hospital board members in England had substantial quality care experience, while only 19% of U.S. hospital board members showed similar credentials. Researchers also found 72% of English board members consider patient safety or clinical effectiveness to be the top priority for oversight, compared with 31% of U.S. board members.
