Bank of America marketer: Mobile is a "human operating system"

Consumers are always connected to their mobile devices, making it a "human operating system," instead of just a media platform, said Lou Paskalis, Bank of America's senior vice president of enterprise marketing and media. Mobile marketers should first establish customer relationships before approaching transactions, an approach that worked for Starbucks and its applications and loyalty program. "Until we realize this is the gateway to the consumer mind, I think we're going to be pushing a rock up a hill," Paskalis said.
