DIRECTV, Weather Channel agree to new terms

The Weather Channel has returned to DIRECTV's lineup after the companies reached a new carriage deal. Under the terms of the deal, the Weather Channel on weekdays will cut its unscripted programs by 50%, offer "instant" local weather reports, and give the satcaster's subscribers access to its programming on multiplatform devices at home and in other locations.
