Australia considers pharmacies in supermarkets

The prime minister said he still was thinking about the issue of whether supermarkets in Australia should be able to have pharmacies, despite appearing to have ruled out such an idea earlier this week. Pharmacists have opposed the idea, saying it would drive local pharmacies out of business, while a Woolworths official said letting a pharmacist work on supermarket premises could cut drug prices by 25% because supply costs would be reduced.
