Study: Indian biotechs set to grow, but early funding is tight

A new study says India's biotech companies are poised to gain access to a larger portion of the world market for drugs and vaccines. However, the sector is having trouble finding investors willing to provide early-stage funding, and some biotechs are forced to jeopardize re-investing in R&D. A new financing model "is clearly needed to enable companies trying to develop innovative products to succeed," researchers said.
