Giving more than the customer asks

Independent contractors have to offer more than essential skills to distinguish themselves from the competition, writes Steven DeMaio. DeMaio suggests four ways to exceed what customers expect: Agree to an early deadline you know you can make, be proactive about asking questions, be collegial but not deferential, and offer constructive feedback when a project is complete.
