U.K. develops rotary valve to control wetlands flooding

The U.K. Environment Agency and Stoneman Engineering have developed a stainless-steel rotary valve that will create wetlands around rivers without increasing the risk of flooding. The valve controls the amount of water flowing in and out of a wetlands site. The valve can be incorporated into existing flood-defense structures and can adapt to a variety of locations.
