Virgin Mobile USA set to slash price of unlimited calls plan

In another sign that price wars have broken out among the prepaid-wireless carriers, Virgin Mobile USA will announce today that it will cut the cost of its unlimited-calling plan from $80 to $50 a month to match its competitors. The move is "definitely a response to the marketplace," said a Virgin Mobile spokeswoman.
