Grants aim to address large-animal-vet shortage

AgriLabs, an animal-health-products marketing company, is offering two grants for professional-development training -- one to be awarded to a beef-cattle veterinarian and another to a dairy-cattle veterinarian. The grants, which target new graduates of veterinary medicine, are a response to a nationwide shortage of veterinarians specializing in dairy and beef cattle, a company executive said.
