Study: Cold fronts changed bird migration, influenced H5N1 outbreaks

A study found European outbreaks of avian influenza during the 2005-06 winter were influenced by changes in the migration patterns of wild birds because of cold fronts. Researchers said the findings could be important for surveillance efforts.
