Vet tackles the decline in H1N1 cases in pets

Since the report of an H1N1 case in a Colorado cat in January, no similar incident has followed, according to AVMA. This decline may be attributed to improved human-sanitary practices as well as an increased public awareness on the virus' potential zoonotic transmission from people to animals, writes Dr. Patrick Mahaney, a California-based veterinarian.
