Bevacizumab boosts visual acuity in diabetes patients

Patients with diabetic macular edema who received intravitreal bevacizumab shots retained better visual acuity than those who underwent laser photocoagulation, according to a study in the Archives of Ophthalmology. The patients were evaluated one year and two years after the treatments.
