McDonald's pushes suppliers to perfect the fries

McDonald's serves about 9 million pounds of french fries around the world each day. As consumers increasingly demand more information about where their food comes from and rivals gear up to take on the quickservice giant's fries, McDonald's aims to stay on top of its game with campaigns that focus on potato farmers and a semi-annual contest that challenges suppliers to cook the perfect McDonald's fry.
