Modular construction could boost efficiency of construction projects

Modular construction is being promoted in Connecticut as a speedier, effective, more cost efficient and sustainable way of building than traditional methods. Assembling building components offsite enables firms to supervise the work environment and the use of materials and equipment more easily, according to William Cianci, executive director of the Construction Institute at the University of Hartford in Connecticut.
