Nurse study ties teen drinking to benign breast disease

Data from 29,117 women in the Nurses' Health Study II showed that adolescent alcohol intake was linked dose-dependently to a higher risk of proliferative benign breast disease. In the journal Pediatrics, researchers reported that adolescent folate intake did not appear to prevent alcohol-associated BBD.
