The Counter debuts fast-casual concept

"Better burger" chain The Counter opened its first fast-casual Built Custom Burgers restaurant near the University of Southern California's Los Angeles campus. The smaller concept features a downsized menu and lower prices, a model the chain plans to perfect and use as it grows into non-traditional spaces such as campuses and airports, said founder Jeff Weinstein.
