MedPAC suggests cutting Medicare rates for hospice care in SNFs

Members of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission told a public forum Medicare payments to hospice providers who care for patients in skilled nursing facilities could be reduced by 3% to 5%, echoing recommendations in an HHS Office of Inspector General report from 2011.
