Study: Many patients skip meds to stretch money

Thirteen percent of Americans between 18 and 64 years old said they had not taken drugs as prescribed in an effort to save money, 11% had postponed filling a prescription and 20% of patients of any age had asked their health care provider to prescribe a less-expensive treatment, a CDC survey found.
