Think tank says higher immigration could cut deficit

Increasing immigrant flow could reduce the U.S. budget deficit, according to an analysis by the American Action Forum, a conservative think tank. Economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the group's president, says an overhaul of immigration law would increase gross domestic product enough over 10 years to narrow the deficit by $2.5 trillion.
