Microsoft exec hints at dropping Xbox Live Gold apps pay wall

The head of Microsoft's gaming division has hinted at changes to the subscription structure for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, who have to pay additional fees for some features. "Not saying everyone will love everything, but we have plans," Phil Spencer wrote in a Twitter exchange with a subscriber. Xbox Live Gold subscribers are left behind a secondary pay wall when accessing certain multimedia applications such as Netflix.
