Mobile search spend doubles globally to account for quarter of total

Mobile accounted for 25% of what advertisers spent globally on search campaigns in the first quarter, with total spend in mobile more than doubling from a year before, as measured by Covario. Additionally, the cost per click rose 12% year-on-year while Google continued to dominate in search, accounting for 84% of total spending in that category.
