Senate to vote on equal-pay plan

Senate Democrats will today call a vote on the Paycheck Fairness Act, which is intended to secure pay equity for women. The issue is seen as a potential political winner for Democrats in the runup to the midterm elections. "This isn't just about treating women fairly. This is about Republicans seemingly opposing any efforts to even the playing field for working families," says President Barack Obama.
