Pharmaceutical Companies Band Together On Drug Card

Seven pharmaceutical companies jointly are to offer a prescription discount card, which will allow low-income Medicare patients to save up to 40% on more than 100 popular drugs, reports say. The Together Rx Card is expected to be available in June to nearly 11 million qualified seniors. Eli Lilly and Pfizer are among four manufacturers to offer their own drug discount card since last summer; the two firms are not part of the program.
