Exit exam prompts districts to review graduation policies

California school districts are grappling with the issue of whether to allow seniors who've failed the new exit exam to still take part in graduation events. The Elk Grove Unified school system will vote April 18 on a proposal to allow students who promise to retake the test after summer school the chance to receive a certificate of completion during the ceremony.
