Social networks offer ideal advertising conditions

Despite worries about racy content, social networking sites are proving to be popular with marketers because they allow for a detailed level of affinity-based and demographic targeting unavailable in other media. The growth in social networks tracks the general growth in online. As Avenue A/Razorfish general manger Jeff Lanctot noted: "Online rates continue to climb. The cost rose 20% last year."
