Westfield seeks to become brand

Westfield Group plans to do more than renovate underachieving malls it acquires: It wants to become a household name. The developer, which runs 128 shopping centers, already has "huge brand awareness" among retailers, according to a retail real estate consultant, and it plans to achieve that recognition with shoppers through its branding process.
