Pension plan wants vote on executive pay at banks

Morgan Stanley's annual meeting this week will include a discussion on a proposal by a pension plan that would allow shareholders to vote on executive compensation at the bank. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees pension fund wants shareholders to get an advisory, nonbinding vote on the pay packages of the bank's executives. The fund proposed similar ideas at Wachovia, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup.
