Ruling: Student rights extend to MySpace postings

A student's rights were violated when she was disciplined by a judge for having made vulgar comments on a MySpace page criticizing a school principal, the Indiana Court of Appeals ruled Monday. An Indiana middle school principal last year discovered derogatory postings made by the student on a MySpace page concerning the school's policy on body piercings.
