Chicago baseball stadium gets "green" parking lot

U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, has installed a new, $3.5 million parking lot that officials describe as a "grand slam" for water management. Special pavers used in the 265,000-square-foot lot allow water to absorb quickly into the ground, helping to reduce flooding and reducing runoff into the city's storm sewers. Alderman Jim Balcer estimates the project will save $400,000.
