Genzyme recalls Thymoglobulin lots

Genzyme Corp. has voluntarily recalled more than 100,000 vials of Thymoglobulin, used in kidney transplants, after discovering lots of the drug that seemed too cloudy when liquefied. The FDA advised consumers to immediately stop using drugs from the recalled lots. The drugmaker, though, said there were no safety or efficacy concerns linked to the withdrawn batches and that most of it has already been consumed.
