Remember the scene in "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" in which the visitors are licking the orange-flavored wallpaper? It made a big impression on Adnan Aziz. He went on to found a company that makes edible films, allowing consumers to taste products from lime-spiked rum to baking-soda toothpaste. The taste strips so far have appeared in magazine and direct-mail campaigns, but the next frontier is riskier: flavored newspaper ads.
