Fed official warns of unpredictable risk of inflation

Although the U.S. is likely to fall into a deeper recession in the coming months, this is the time to plan on how to head off inflation, said Thomas Hoenig, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The day will come when it is necessary to wind down stimulus measures to avoid slipping into a "much higher inflation environment," he said.
