WFP charges Somali pirates with hampering aid delivery

Pirate attacks off the Somali coast are adversely affecting the delivery of aid to east Africa and the Horn of Africa, the World Food Programme said Thursday. Shipping delays, increased insurance costs and unwillingness of shippers to venture into the area might lead to ration cuts and severe distribution delay, according to WFP officials.
