Mass. school builds outdoor learning center for students

Students and others at a Massachusetts school are constructing an outdoor learning center that will serve as a school garden, weather center and an area where students can get first-hand lessons on the environment that mesh with core classes. "In addition to increasing academic achievement, our outdoor learning center will teach our students about healthier nutritional attitudes, environmental stewardship, ecological literacy, and lessons in community and social development," principal Kristen Evans said.
