America's golf courses reflect rebounding recovery

Americans are loosening their purse strings and returning to the links, says the National Golf Foundation. The number of rounds played on courses throughout the country steadily rose for four straight months through February. "It will probably be the strongest year since the recession," says Cindy Davis, president of Nike's golf unit, which is experiencing revenue gains that are outpacing expectations. "I'd say it's definitely one of the indicators that maybe consumer confidence is coming back."
