CDC: Mississippi leads U.S. in teen birth rate

Mississippi's recorded teen birth rate was more than 60% above the national average in 2010, with 55 births per 1,000 teens aged 15 to 19 years, according to the CDC. New Hampshire recorded 15.7 births for the same age group. Researchers also reported that teen birth rates were highest among Hispanics and blacks.
