Does technological progress make innovation inevitable?

Some experts believe that innovation lies less in coming up with creative ideas and more in spotting opportunities created by the inexorable march of technological progress. Still, not everyone's willing to dismiss the role of the individual creator in the innovation process. "Technology brings your ideas to life, but you need to have ideas first," says Cardwolf founder Mark Roberts.
