Report: Small-business outlook dims

Small-business optimism has dropped for the first time since August, reports the National Federation of Independent Business. The group's monthly index of optimism fell from 94.3 in February to 92.5 in March. "The higher fuel cost appears to have already trickled down, placing pressure on small businesses in charging more for their goods and services," said Leslie Levesque, an IHS Global Insight economist.
