SMS promotions find more receptive consumers in BRIC countries

SMS text retail promotions for which consumers express little preference in the U.S. and Britain get a markedly higher rating in the so-called BRIC countries -- Brazil, Russia, India and China, according to an Ipsos report. Overall, though, e-mail appeals are preferred, particularly for the ease of printing coupons or in-store use.
