Students weigh in on plan to improve Conn. district

Some students are welcoming a proposal to transform low-performing schools in Bridgeport, Conn., that includes the creation of a series of new high schools that cater to students' interests and academic needs. The plan, offered by interim Superintendent Paul Vallas, is meant to ensure more students graduate on time and are ready for college. Still others, however, say they are skeptical of the plan and would favor more stability over the changes.
