Tech groups face cyber-attack for support of cybersecurity bill

Anonymous, a group of politically motivated hackers, targeted the websites of two technology industry trade groups, in retaliation for their support of cybersecurity legislation moving through the House of Representatives, which critics say threatens to undermine citizens' privacy rights. Representatives from USTelecom and TechAmerica -- which were both hit with denial-of-service attacks -- reiterated their commitment to the bill and said the attacks underscore the importance of getting the legislation passed quickly.
