Transplant advocates raise awareness in National Donate Life Month

April has been designated National Donate Life Month since 2003. Advocates and organ recipients are making an extensive effort to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood, bone marrow, organs and tissue. About 112,000 people in the U.S. are on transplant waiting lists, according to government data.
