Standardized tests face boycotts from some N.Y. parents

Some parents in parts of New York are opting out of new standardized tests under the Common Core State Standards. The parents have informed the schools that their children will not take the exams, but it remains unclear what response the schools will give. Regulations require that 95% of a district's students take the standardized exams before school funding could be affected, and there is no law forcing students to take the tests.
