$100M donation to Dartmouth will be used for faculty, engineering school

Dartmouth College expects to create up to 40 endowed faculty positions over the next decade thanks to an anonymous donation of $100 million. The largest single donation ever given to the New Hampshire school will also be used as a challenge grant to boost fundraising, and to support the engineering school. "What makes it really exceptional is that the only restriction is that the gift be used to build the academic excellence of Dartmouth," President Philip J. Hanlon said.
