$250,000 grant from Va. to aid Vireol Bio Energy project

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe's office has announced a $250,000 state grant to the city of Hopewell to assist in restarting and expanding Vireol Bio Energy's ethanol plant, which was shuttered and sold by Osage Bio Energy in 2011. The company seeks to create 70 jobs at the facility. "Governor McAuliffe and the commonwealth have recognized the potential of this opportunity and have provided us with the perfect springboard to launch into the U.S.," said Vireol Bio Energy's Peter McGenity.
